USPS reports to Amazon Prime delivery package delivered to my home at 4:14PM. Hmm, the USPS Jeep hadn't even entered my home until after 4:40 PM. I work a lot from home and my home office faces the street. My home is opposite the 7th home to get mail when the USPS Jeep enters out neighborhood.
How does USPS make delivery before arriving to make delivery? If that ain't enough to be confusing then check this out. The bar code on the package is for tracking. USPS knows where package should be going and I catch the USPS carrier while still in my neighborhood and she tells me their scanner records where the package is delivered--no difference if that was a correct delivery or not.
So, why does the USPS bar code scanner not alert the carrier when they are delivering something to an address other than the one it is supposed to go to? Well, that would take brains, no? So she says when she's done with her route, which this one isn't her normal route, she'll go back to annex, download information to find out where she misdelivered the item, go collect it and deliver it to me.
Anyone buying into that? I'm not. I've had >15 years of USPS misdeliveries over the years. Argued with annex manager, even had him replaced and still this is a typical level of performance whenever my regular carrier is off. Most things are now electronic (bills, etc.) with some packages going to a USPS box, but then there are those times like this one.
Someone will enjoy that Samsung EVO 850 Pro 500GB SSD. Just not me.
BTW, why have a scanner and system that knows where to deliver and knows where it was delivered not have the intelligence to electrocute carrier when they attempt a misdelivery?
