Amazon to start locker delivery system?

FedEx over here tried to do it 5-8 years ago. They had a set of lockers just like this one at local Jewel. FedEx guys would still try to deliver it to me, but if I was not home they would leave it at a pick up location at Jewel instead of trying to redeliver it next day. I liked it a lot because this way FedEx didn't have to leave it at my doorstep and because Jewel was a lot closer than closest FedEx distribution center. Sadly for some reason they decided to discontinue the program.

Yeah, I always have them ship it to my work address.

There's plenty of packages going in and out anyway, and our secretary is easily bribed. (I mean, seriously, if you're going to bake cookies, you might as well make a few extra to share and see what kind of karma comes your way.)

They bought Kinko's and use them instead.

You have to call them with the tracking number and have them hold it though.

i have everything shipped to my work, so itr doesnt even affect me, but back when i couldnt do that and lived in an apartment, UPS and Feded would leave packages at the front office. it got to be so common they installed lockboxes for the tenants to get their stuff out of.

I have, actually, never heard of "hold for pickup," but post office desk hours are like 10 am - 2 pm anyways and PO boxes are tiny unless you're willing to pay an arm and a leg.

your PO sucks then, the 3 near me are all open 9am till 6:30pm
