Magicka - worth it @ $5? I've seen a few people here talk about it but I don't know much about it.

Yes it is worth it. Steam has a demo if you want to try it out. The way you twist/mix elements to make spells is really cool. Backfiring spells on yourself/team is almost as good as killing the enemy lol.

It was cool but the demo kicked my ass.
Couldnt get used to the controls no matter how hard I tried. Kept wishing there were macros or scripts.

That would ruin the game. The point is having to remember combos and type them under pressure. Otherwise the game would be pointlessly easy.

Just remember a few and focus on those. FQASA + right click works in most situations, AND it doubles as FQASA + shift + right click for AOE and FQASA + space for lightning bolt (when you learn it).

When will this be out PS3 style?

no idea how the control scheme would work.

you need 8 distinct buttons for individual spell categories to start all of your combos, then 3 distinct activate buttons to cast the spell on yourself, target, or AoE, and another function to use your sword.

plus the movement.

Apparently this can be activated on Steam if anybody is wondering.
