Amazon Super Saver Free shipping

sao123

Lifer
I ordered a package from amazon using their free super saver shipping.
I followed the package from its origin...until now.

DHL@home delivered my package from amazon to a Post office approximately 40 miles from my house...

WTF?

Is this a standard practice?
Ive never ehard of a major shipper delivering a package half way to a post office to be delivered the rest of the way.

I've had that happen and I live in the suburbs on Long Island. The major shippers all do this. They sometimes just pick up the package, do the initial sort of it and send it to the USPS for further processing and delivery.

I live across from the local post office and just saw a DHL truck unloading some packages there today. I've never had a DHL package actually delievered by DHL, it's always been by the post office.

except that I have a post office box... and DHL has my street address.

Except that the post office does not deliver to my street.
