Amazon shipping cost, free is not actually free?

Free shipping isn't always worth it when buying from an Amazon partner. I ordered a 2-pack of MN21/23 batteries for an Amazon partner, got the free shipping and it took 8 business days for them to ship me the small bubble-wrap envelope. That is eight days to actually ship, not deliver, for an in stock item.

I got it ~48 hours after asking why through Amazon.

I'm a big fan of the no-rush shipping $1 ebook credit. Too bad it still isn't also good for physical books like it was before Christmas.
