For some perspective. RX 6600 is under $180 now with promo codes @ Newegg on select remaining models.

I think that is superior (raster) price/performance, and ain't nobody sane running RT on a 3050 card. DLSS, maybe valuable, or if you value the NVidia ecosystem in general, then get the 3050.

IOW, ITX size or not, still takes a supplemental power connector.

@ $219, though, the RTX 3050 is a no-brainer over a GTX 1650.

At B&H they have a 3060TI for $280, $300 and $320. If you got the extra $60 it may be worth a look.

Those cards have overlap for usage, but it isn't a circle. For example: that one connector 3050 ITX is better suited to those little OEM systems with low wattage PSUs.

I do love tiny "ITX" sized cards. Wish more manufacturers would pack more powerful dies into a tiny ITX form factor.

Back off the power limit a tad and let the card run a little hotter and baby you got a stew going.

That said, I wouldn't touch a 3050 when 6600's are selling for less while providing a solid 30% more raster performance for less money.

Buying a 3050 is literally insane, I can't imagine what features could possibly make up a 30% performance deficit.

Once upon a time, I came across a (really budget) PSU, that used a splitter to tee off of the EPS12V from the PSU, to break out into a PCI-E cable, too.


Dare one use one of those in this situation? I don't think SATA-to-6-pin + 6-to-8-pin would handle thing adequately.

I agree. The only place it makes sense is if it fits where a longer card won't. I looked at the prices on ITX 6600 series, they are derptastically high. I think this card fits a certain niche that's all. That 3060 is the real winner, if the higher power draw is dealt with.

I do have opinions. 6650XT, 3060ti are good budget cards but the price has to be right. I still thought $280 for a 3060ti was too high. The 3060 has 12GB of vram but the problem is the card lags way behind the 3060ti. I would skip the 6700xt and 6750xt in favor of the 6800 or 6800xt.

The 3050 is a card to avoid. That is not just my opinion but the opinion of reviewers. That is 1660 super performance. I think 8GB of vram is fine as a placeholder card. Pay nothing above $250 and get something at $199 or less if you can.

Graphics cards have a long way to fall. The value play cards become very interesting around $200.

I bought the A750 when it was $200. It is good bang for buck at that price. Provided the system supports resizable bar. Be aware there will be some really old games that don't work, even with DXVK. That may change with updates from either the contributors to the project, or Intel driver updates.

At the moment the prices on ARC are meh. On the upside; The Sparkle ARC cards should be in stock at Newegg next weekend. The Elf A380 appears to be slot powered and is 6GB. That will make it a better choice than the RX 6400 or slot powered GTX 1650s in that niche.
