Amazon PS3 Deal Days today!

Don't forget, Amazon has their deals day centered around the PS3 today. The current deal of the day is Motorstorm Pacific Rift for $40.

The current (and first) lightning deal is a soccer game for $30. Next lightning deal come in an hour and a half.

I was hoping for a good deal on a PS3. Oh well.

The video game deal of the day was the PS3 160GB Uncharted bundle for 449.99 instead of 499.99, but it looks like it's sold out already.

This is what I don't get. People complain about the cost of PS3, but when a PS3 deal comes up, it's sold out immediately.

There's always the apply for Sony CC and get $150 credit route, so you'll get the 80GB core for $250.

What's not to get? People think the PS3 is too expensive, a discount comes along and they snatch it up. Personally I don't see saving $50 on a $500 console as a great deal (is that what you're getting at?). I'm also not keen on signing up for a credit card just to get a $150 rebate/credit a few weeks later, but it is tempting.

It could also very well be that there aren't very many systems being offered in such deals - perhaps there's a lower margin on PS3s than the other systems. *shrugs*

Kinda hoping for Valkyria Chronicles or Eternal Sonata on the cheap, but I've not seen anything to suggest we'll see those today. Too bad.

Guess you missed both deals. VC was $49.99 a week before it was released with $10 GC and ES was like $33 a week or two ago.

I did miss ES for $30, which was a bit embarrassing, but I had spent a metric ton of money on presents and such already.

I think we could do a bit better than $50 for VC, though - that game sold like crap.

BIA feels like Valkyria Chronicles w/o the RPG element. It's a strategy FPS w/ little free roaming. It's a linear go here, shoot that game. For $10, it's a helluva deal. Too bad it went OOS in 5 min.

People just don't like changes in general. VC looks like a fantastic game, the demo's fun too. But like LPB, it's just so outta the normal, people don't wanna try it. No wonder FPS games are selling so well. It's the same thing, over and over again.

I did this and it's fine. They even dropped the price of the PS3 a week after I ordered and Sony took $100 off for me (this was awhile ago). Now if I could just finally be able to spend my Sony points ~_~. I have enough for a free remote and rumble controller.

I didn't think the demo was that bad. Not something I'd buy for $60 based on the demo, but I'd have been all over it for $10

What's not to get? People think the price is too high, but are willing to pay less. Thus when it's sold for less, it sells faster.
