It was worth the $0 I paid for it for 5 months. Not sure about $80 a year... most of my Amazon.com purchases are used items from marketplace sellers.

i buy a lot of books and dvds in a year, its nice to have everything arrive so quickly, do be warned i do find myself buying more stuff since now i dont wait for $25 worth of purchases to accrue.

I tracked how much I ordered during the free 3 months and didn't use it enough to justify the $80 renewal.
