Didn't find any info on their site, just thought i would ask before calling...

Anyone know if you pre-order an item from amazon - Do they charge you right away or when it ships?
 
I had a book pre-ordered twice now that has disappeared from their pre-order lists because the publisher keeps pushing back the release date. If it wasn't the last book in a trilogy, I would have already given up on ever reading it.
