Amazon mp3 downloads issue

Almost posted in software but this is audio/software related. I may be the only person still burning CDs but I have a nice (classic) Alpine CD player in my car. It DOES have WMA/MP3 support and I've burned and played many a CD in there.

Only recently have I tried Amazon music downloads. I've tried two different burning programs and only the mp3s downloaded form Amazon refuse to play showing an "Unsupported" message on the head unit display.

I guess my only hope is someone here actually still burning CDs and having the same problem. If not, thanks for reading anyway.

Don't know what it could be. I just bought a few R&B albums on sale last week from Amazon, and burnt them to CD for my truck - no problem.

I've played MP3's from Amazon in my alpine head unit. I downloaded them about 2 years ago though, I'm not sure if Amazon has started adding DRM to their MP3s since then, I'd assume they haven't since that was one of the major reasons to choose Amazon for digital music in the first place.

I've got a hard drive in my car, have burnt several cds from amazon and transferred the cds to the car fine.
