Amazon merchant problem, didn't respond to my email...

I ordered something on amazon.com through their used merchant process thing, sort of like eBay in a way. Anyways, I ordered something and then realized it was the wrong thing that I ordered, so about 3 hours after I ordered i sent them an email asking to cancel the order, along with order number etc. I couldn't just hit cancel order in the normal amazon fashion because it was a merchant seller.

Anyways a day passed and no reply to email, I get an automated email saying they charged my credit card and that it'd be shipped shortly. My credit card was charged.

I don't really want to go through the hassle of getting the item and then trying to return it (which I would imagine would be no fun considering they don't reply to emails), so what should I do?

I was thinking of denying the charges on my credit card, but I don't really want to do that since by time I get to the bank it will most likely be shipped.

The seller is a reputable seller with a couple thousand sales and good feedback, so it's not a sleazy dealer or anything, just a bad email system it seems. Just trying to find the best way to fix this.

Any suggestions? And yes i did contact amazon and they said they were going to contact seller, but still no email reply...

Maybe with that seller all sales are final? I think letting you cancel the order would be doing you a favor.

Nothing says that, I think they should at least be able to cancel an order that I placed only a few hours before, especially since they had a whole day to read email before processing it.
