Amazon may actually be held accountable for the products they sell

Apparently Amazon sells towel hook spy cams, specifically advertised as bathroom spy cams. Of course Amazon tried to claim they shouldn't be responsible, and the minor who was filmed for months wasn't actually physically harmed.

There are lots of spy cams listed on Amazon right now, but it appears the towel hook ones are gone for now.

It's about time there was a case with a legitimate chance of actually changing how they operate, even in a small level. It's insane that Amazon gets away will selling all kinds fraudulent and questionable products like this because they claim "oh we just resell the product" when they take a percentage of sales, comingle inventory, help create listings and product summaries etc

With any luck, those who buy these spycams will also buy the fake memory cards that Amazon marketplace also sells in huge numbers, and thus whatever footage the camera captures won't get stored.
