What do?

The items were supposed to be here Monday, but didn't arrive. It said it was delivered and signed by me, but never showed up.

Amazon made me wait two days, and then sent a new package which arrived today. I complained a little bit on their forums about the shipper (A1 Shipping) and just now, I came home to find that another package was delivered by them with the same exact stuff.

Nothing expensive, a pair of Audio Technica ATH-30 headphones, and a 2.99 BT dongle and $11 HDTV antenna, but I don't want to pay for 2 packages. lol

Anyone had a similar problem? How did Amazon handle it?

I'd say contact Amazon and see what they say.

Maybe they issue a return shipping label, or maybe it makes more sense to just let you keep the order.

Sounds like it's the shippers fault, not amazon.

I'd email/call and tell them, and due to the cost of the items I'd be shocked if they didn't tell you to just keep it.

If you go into your Amazon account, there should be a contact Amazon customer service link.

I think when you click on that, then choose e-mail, options show up for specific order.

Might be easiest way to deal with issue, because presumably all order details show up for csr.

Explain what happened with double shipment, and ask them how to proceed, specifically mentioning that you don't want to get charged twice for second order.

Yep, it's the right thing to do.

They'll either do something like have you print a prepaid shipping label, or just tell you to keep them but either way your conscience will be clear.

Same thing has happened to me twice and in both instances I was told to keep it. Package wasn't worth more than $40 so not worth it for them to deal with I guess. In both cases the shipping company listed as delivered and signed for when no such thing happened.

Last one was a few years ago and at the time I wasn't made to wait but maybe that's why you had to wait this time since it is a common occurrence.

I just got off the phone with them and they offered to pick it up, or I can mail it to them. I didn't get lucky, but considering my order is close to ~$70 it was a good chance they'd follow up on it anyway.

Going to mail it back to them tomorrow.

I'd give props for doing the right thing, but we should all be doing the right things anyway as a matter of course.

Just be glad the milk man is no longer around to deliver milk while you were out.

Thank goodness. The CEO can continue on his tour of the world on his company provided private jet. He's toasting you now from 33000 ft.

If you sent someone a package, and it got lost, you went up and beyond to send another......and the person received both, would you want it back?

Do the right thing.

I received a double shipment from Amazon once when the original 2-day delivery was not met so they sent out another. When they both showed up, I contacted Amazon for a return tag for one and they told me to keep both of them. It was about a ~$50 order IIRC.

yeah a lot of places will do that if under like $50. its cheaper then paying shipping +man hours to fix it.

OP good job. good to see a thread where someone is not asking how they an keep the 2nd item.

I'd just keep it, they fcked up and my time is valuable. Why should you take time out of your day to fix their fck up? If they did their job right, this wouldn't have happened anyway. It's not worth the hassle for 20 bucks.
