bucfanmike, Amazon is really good with customer service. I forgot to apply a coupon, and I called customer service and they refunded the difference. Same with the speakers I purchased. They dropped down in price 20 20 days, and I called and they also refunded the difference.

Got mine from Dell today. I was skeptical about liking a universal remote but gave it a try because everyone loves them. I'm impressed after my first half hour of setting it up and trying it out.

dont drop it. Not even a little bit. I did and I think the motion sensor is gone. Does not affect the way the remote works just does not light up when I grab it. They are pretty sweet. for $100+ they should be.

I think I will be getting this from Dell as well.

Can someone recommend an IR receiver to connect to my PC to allow for control?

Ordered from Dell last week. Received it 20 hours later.. standard shipping. Very easy to setup and use. People complain about "how hard it is to setup" with the online interface, but I suspect that they are idiots.

Love mine. Some people have had trouble with the charger (like needing to put some sort of weight on top of the remote, to ensure good contact with the charger), but I've never had a problem. Of course, I've treated my charger with kid gloves since reading that others have had problems.

Wife likes that I can assign pictures of the baby for the remote's screen saver and channel buttons (for example, a close-up of the baby's "eye" for CBS).

Yeah you have to be sure it is sitting in the cradle right to charge, but other than that I love mine. Got it last year and it is still going strong.

Although I had it 90% setup right I did have a rather complicated setup to do. So I called tech support and the guy I got was extremely helpful. Works like a charm now.

In fact, I may buy another one for my bar/movie room.

I believe the only difference is the 890 uses RF as well. You get a little hub to plug in IR blast nodes for your components. Remote sends signal to hub, which sends an IR signal to the component.

If you have your gear out of sight, that would be an 890 setup. Otherwise, the 880 is the same just IR.

Dang it. I want to get this remote but have missed out on all of the deals over the past 6 months. (I obviously don't keep too close of tabs on this forum...)

The Dell price of $130 didn't seem too bad, but they appear to only have it for $250 now, just like everyone else. I will have to try harder to keep my eyes on this thing.

Amazon has the Harman Kardon TC 30 for $133ish right now. I've seen a few places selling it around this price.

Looks Like a Good Remote, With Only A Few Small Issues.

At This Price, And With Electronics Prices In General Falling, Think I'm Going To Wait...

The Next Great Thing In Remotes Is Probably Right Around The Corner & Cheaper.

At $100 or More, I Don't Want To Hear Of Any Problems With Units Charging In The Right Position, Lights Not Working After A Drop, Etc.

Thanks For The Post Though.

omfg die with the caps.

I have this and it seems like a great remote - I've had mine for about 6 months and use it with my 360 media center (hp plasma, denon receiver, 360) and it works well ONCE you figure out the PITA software (unless they fixed it) and once it's all setup..

Is this still one of the better remotes out there ?

DVR + TV + AVReceiver + SACD PLayer + DVD = I need a multi-function remote!
