The self publishing system of the amazon kindle is being flooded with spam and copyright infringing material.
Maybe amazon should do some kind of address verification for people who want to publish books on the kindle? Where publishers have to provide address and phone number information, and that information has to be verified before someone can self-publish a book.
To verify the address, amazon would mail a code to the physical address. The person would then enter the code into their amazon account. Its the same way google verifies people for the google adsense program.
