Amazon Gift Returns

So the D and R keys on the Saitek Eclipse II I got for Xmas didn't work about 75% of the time (which made gaming with WASD difficult) so I boxed it up and sent it in to Amazon for a return.

Not being real familiar with gift exchange, I sent them an email asking how long it would take before I heard back and/or received my new keyboard. As it turns out, they're ::apparently:: out of Eclipse IIs and are going to send me a gift card.

In FOUR WEEKS.

Wtf? Is this normal for Amazon?

Seems like in general, Amazon's product stock is rather low right now... I think they got hit really hard by Christmas shoppers. I'm not sure about the gift card thing though, four weeks sounds excessive to me.
