Amazon FINALLY fvcking did it! Now you don't have to download the Tentacles of RealAudio software just to listen to music samples on Amazon.com. WHOO-HOO! Now, you can just use your Windows Media.
Instaling RA was just a pain. It wanted to "take over everything", plus they made it a little too diffcult (not impossible) to find the link to download the free version. Another crazy thing about RA is that you have to download it from the very computer you want to install it on. In other words, they wouldn't let me download installation RA file for a friend of mine. I asked RA and they said no. My friend has a 28.8 connection and it took over 1 hour to download it. Crazy. Over simplified as Windows Media is, it's still worth using.
Although, ultimately, I still wish Amazon would pipe it to my Winamp program. Also, I'm curious why Amazon finally changed to allow users to use Windows Media to listen to the music samples. For a long time, it was just exclusive RA music sample files.
BTW, no offense to RA fans, it just that I really didn't like Amazon limiting me to one music format choice.
