I didn't want to buy at $60 because I have quite a backlog of games right now, but considering it may not universally drop to $40 for a few months, yet, I had to jump on this.

Are you sure this is a deal of the day item, or has the price dropped to $39.99 everywhere? I only ask because I see no mention of any special pricing on the page, but then again, I'm not familiar with Amazon or any DotD specials they may run. I'm hoping it's universal, so that I can pick up a used copy at Gamestop for $29.99 or $34.99, along with my discount. I, too, have been waiting for a price drop on this game before I pick it up.

If you go to the Video Games section on Amazon and click on the Deal of the Day (upper-right) it leads to this page.

I don't know if there's a science to the timing of price-drops. However, I'm personally doubtful we'll see a universal drop on Forza 2 until just before Christmas because it's recently released, first-party, and pretty popular title.

For those that are still waiting for Forza2. Get it. I have something against 60 games, but I had no regrets after buying this at full price.
