Amazon.com Sucks!

I Pre-ordered the Indiana Jones Trilogy from amazon, 3 days ago I found a better deal on the set so I wanted to cancel from amazon but they had already begun processing my order. I figure its only a few dollars difference so whatever. The set was released today and I was hoping it would be shipped by now but I just went to check the status on the order and it won't ship for another 3 - 5 days. I didn't select the Free Super Save shipping because it takes forever for stuff to ship out that way so I paid the extra few bucks for 2nd day shipping, so i would expect them to get it out the door as soon as possible, but what the hell!!! Amazon is slow as dirt. I Pre-ordered LoTR The Two Towers from overstock.com and the DVD was at my door the day it was released and It was free shipping.

The shipping option should only affect actual transit time, not order filling/packing time.

Never ever had a single problem at Amazon. Maybe you are just stupid and greedy?

HTF did you come back? :Q

Welcome back.. dunno know ya very well, but since you've been gone; everyone's been talking.. so umm...

never a problem with amazon...I had a problem with my router, even cut off the upc already, they overnighted me a new one....I called them at 2am and had the new router the following day.

Can't beat that.

BTW I really hate people like you that continue shopping after ordering. You cause me to have to pay more when I shop....you cause me to have to charge more when I sell.

so it "came out" that day but dont you think it might be a problem between that company getting their stock to amazon? some companies are horrible at this (creative, for one)

ive ordered amazon a ton of time and will continue to do so. their shipping and prices are top notch, even with free savers shipping i get my stuff in the flash

(kinda helps that im in the same state as the warehouse)

My Lion King DVD Gift Set was supposed to be at my door between Oct. 16-18. It left their warehouse the 7th, and I got it the 10th. They might be overestimating the time.

I hope so, because I just placed an order today which isn't scheduled to ship until Oct. 27, and get here Oct. 29th.

Don't feel bad. I placed an order last week which said "usually ship within 24-48 hrs" and come to find out the expected shipping date is Nov 1.

in my experience they ALWAYS grossly overstate the shipping/arrival date..which makes for a nice surprise when it comes in 'early'

Just refuse shipment and it will go back to them and they will refund your money.

SO even though they honored his order, and in no way broke their word (they certainly didn't promise to have it to him by now), he's supposed to just refuse the order and make them eat shipping both ways? Very classy.

"Them" is a business and believe it or not, no emotions will be spilled over this by the company. In fact, for the cost of shipping, they have won over some customer service so the chance of repeat business is higher.
