Amazon.com slowly increasing prices?

I left some books in my cart for a while. I just went back and get these messages...
Wonder if Amazon.com has to slowly increase prices to make up for "Amazon Prime"?

its probably automated, when alot of people have it in their cart they sneak the price up

I have noticed several items go both up and down, but their regular prices just suck lately. Books I want costing seven dollars more than at BN.Com, CD's regularly priced at $14.99. It's easier to just order from specialty stores now, as they actually have the items I want and charge less, as opposed to Amazon who always seems to be out of stock on stuff I want or overcharging for it.

I had a CD jump in price by a couple of dollars within five minutes of placing it in my cart and going to check out, so I cancelled the whole order and ordered from CDUniverse instead.
