It must be the way that Amazon.com has their warehouse set up, or its because I am about 60 minutes from th fulfillment center.

I ordered an Antec Three Hundred case from Amazon.com at 3AM for $60.17. It qualifies for free shipping, but you typically have to wait several days for it to ship, and then several days for the shipping time, maybe total of two weeks for both. But 12 hours later, the Antec case was shipped and picked up by Fedex from an Amazon.com fulfillment warehouse near Harrisburg PA. Fedex has it scheduled for delivery tomorrow. With the same order, I had a coupel of books, and they have not even been processed by a warehouse yet.

So, whatever shipping conditions exist with the case, they must have that process with the cases to get them out quick, and by Fedex. Again, I am 60 minutes from the warehouse, and I do not know if that is a factor, or if I was just luck to get the case in a schedule pickup.

This is probably one of the side effects of a crappy economy. Order fulfillment centers are no longer operating at 110% capacity.

I was at microcenter earlier today and got one for $55ish after tax. Lucky enough to have one around, plus that cost some gas and time to drive there. Too bad I missed out on those awesome deals on CM/antec cases just a few months ago; never thought I would need more than two cases 🙁

Wow, didn't realize how much of a banging deal I got, when I purchased my Antec 300 from Walmart for $42 and picked it up for free at the store 3 days later.

yeah I think they were at one point going for like $40 shipped from egg. That and the fact they don't come with rubber grommets / elastic bands for silent hdd mounting made me hesitant, but the aesthetics of the case won me over; the case looked real nice in person, somewhat better than the CM690 I was originally going for.

This case is for sale on walmart.com for $59.88 and they offer free shipping to "your store." If you go to (or by) Walmart often enough then this may be worth saving a few bucks over the $63.40 Amazon price.
