Amazon.com question

Yes I know this isn't the tech support bbs for amazon but I didn't know where else to turn to. Here's the problem: I recently sold something on amazon.com auctions and the buyer wants to pay using "amazon.com payments." That's fine and all but how in the world does he/she go about sending the money to me? We're both new at this and neither of us know how to make this thing work. It's kinda like the blind leading the blind. Could anybody give me some pointers?

I did this last year when I sold on Amazon, you have to sign up yourself with a bank account, they will pay with a credit card and the money is deposited into your bank account. It's like Billpoint on 3bay.

I've read that link even before you posted Russ... thanks though.

Here's the situation: auction ends, buyer wants to pay using amazon.com payments, fine, I sign up and give my checking account info, buyer requests that I send her some sort of "link" in order to request payment.

My response is "huh?" Isn't the buyer just supposed to login into their account and send me the money that they owe me?

Possibly the transaction cannot be done retractively, I'm not sure. You need to email their customer svc and ask.

Since your auction didn't offer amazon payments the buyer should not of assumed they could pay that way. If they are looking for credit card convenience then you could always use paypal or a similar service.

I actually wanted to accept amazon.com payments since they pay for your listing fees if you do. Somehow when I was editing the auction I think it reset the little checkmark for the amazon payments box. I've already emailed them but I was hoping they had a number to call or something. I wonder if they'll let me use payments even though it wasn't selected... hmmm
