[edit] I r dumb.[/edit]

Amazon's been working on that redesign for a long time. It always makes me laugh when my clients say they want their UI experience to be "as easy as Amazon" when I sat in on Amazon meetings where they debated how to improve what they considered to be a crappy user experience.

Is that your referral link? That strikes me as a little underhanded to include in this thread topic for some reason.

dynamitedata is used on all AT links...

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. Don't really see anything that looks different.

I think you said that last time, and the time before that.

We already pointed out not everyone has the changes yet. Try clearing your cache and restarting.

I only remember saying it looked the same once before...

Also, I did clear my cache, and it looks the same to me. *shrug*

Appears to be far more touch friendly than the previous version. Probably for a reason given the rumors of the Android based e-reader they're rumored to be working on, the popularity of the iPad, and Windows 8.

Its also less cluttered, so you dont accidentally thumb click on things.

Personally, with a full computer and mouse I prefer cluttered, I can get anything I want in two clicks.

How the hell do you accidentally "thumb click" on things? Or accidentally click things period?

I have the new interface when I log in at work, but not at home. For a few minutes I was thinking it was some sort of different skin for people who spend $3000+/month there:D

Yep, and I predict their new tablet(s) will be "the" Android tablet(s). Cheap, and a direct portal to Amazon services, products, downloads and streaming content. Looks like no Google apps without rooting though. I do really like Amazon's Android app store, have a ton of free apps from them...

I'm not in the group that got the new changes. Someone post a screenshot.

I wonder when they'll do a 100% rollout.

Not showing it here yet either, but it could definitely use an upgrade.

My biggest frustration? Why do I have to go into an item to add it to my cart? If I search for an artist, for example, and want to buy every album they have why can't I just go down the list of search results and single click add them to my cart without leaving the search results?

Maybe they'll finally give that to me.

I use firefox at work, and the new layout is great on that. Google chrome here at home isn't showing me the new version though.

Umm, actually I think right now there is a way to quick add stuff.

Its because that's how they push their affiliates and other stuff to you. Its also how they do their "other people that _____ this item also this item" and other things they do. I think a lot of it is statistics that helps them.

The new layout, eh, I'm not seeing much other than a bit of a Web 2.0 gloss change in apperance. Maybe they've done more that I'm not noticing, but not a big difference to me.

Seems that left navigation is a fading trend and now everyone is doing some sort of mega menus. Newegg took this approach it seems like a year ago on their site as well. I know we are busy to doing a home page redesign and this is heavily talked about.
