man, i have tried many many times. plenty of gold boxes, but still nothing of value. i actually started out pretty good... well, relatively compared to what i'm getting now.

i used to get some tools and stuff, like vacuum cleaners, high priced mugs, etc... now, all i get are toys... what junk. what in the world would i do with a barbie doll??? and i keep getting these toys for the last 3-4 gold boxes! (eg. 4*5=20 items!)

what prompted this toy fiasco? listening to some other people here say to browse the electronics section, etc... sounds good in theory, but didn't work practically!

oh well. d-40 is probably out of stock anyway. i'm sure amazon would have noticed it and pulled it. i mean, a 56,000% increase in sales? you'd have to be an idiot not to figure something is up...

Well, they just processed my Order and charged my CC for the Olympus Camera D40 which I ordered on July 9th. Delivery estimated July 19 to 25th, so Ill let ya know. OH, they did catch my coupon for $5 and removed it hehe, oh well $252. Now to get that 128 Sandisk Card at Costco for $44, normally $54 but grand opening coupon $10 off. Now I just need a case and a good recharger with batteries.

It looks to me like no one has gotten even an OOS offer for the D-40 since yesterday. I doubt those of us who missed it are going to be given another chance. Most of the stuff thats come up recently on my wife's account and what I've read in recent posts are hardly deals in my book. I suspect they salted this promotion with some really good deals just to get it rolling with momentum fast. If a D-40, OOS or not, has shown up in anybody's goldbox recently I think it would be interesting to hear about it.
