Missed the Nomad at BestBuy this weekend? Amazon.com has the Archos Jukebox Studio 10 GB MP3 Player/Hard Drive for $122 after $30MIR. Shipping is free. Battery life 8 hours.

~FREE SUPER SAVER SHIPPING~ ... and it's actually pretty fast. All of my Amazon orders arrive within 5 days.

(Circuit City free shipping is also fast - PRIORITY MAIL / Best Buy free shipping is slow (7-10 days) - what you would expect w/ free shipping)

By all accounts, the Archos is pretty crappy compared to the Nomad Jukebox 1.
OS is lousy and flakey...

Not close to a hot deal if you can somehow still get the Nomad 1 at BestBuy for
$100 after rebates.

Use the $5 off $35 coupon floating about and get:
Final Price: $151.99 - $30 - $5 = $116.99 + Free Shipping

It's back! Just snagged one for a Christmas gift.

I bought a 5GB one from Fry's for $99 a while back and replaced the dirve with a 40GB drive. Sure, it's no Ipod but you can't beat the price.

And if you don't like the OS, you can always use Rockbox. I use Rockbox except for when I want to build a playlist on the fly and then I switch to the Archos OS using Rockbox.

This may sound like a dumb question, as I'm not technical but how many songs does the 5MB player hold? Is it better to look for a 10MB player?

I think the box says the Archos Jukebox Studio 10 GB MP3 Player/Hard Drive will hold 166 hours of music.
