Amazon cancelled orders on the antec case deal last week

Hi guys,

Thought this belonged here instead of bitches and gripes
just cuz this is where I found out about the deal
and wanted to see if any of you had the same result.

Last week someone posted a deal on the Antec KS282 case
and 300 watt ps at amazon.com for 60.95 minus a 15 off coupon
making it 45.95 with free shipping.

Amazon showed it in stock that day so I ordered one

The following day they took it off their site completely,
I would imagine due to the number of people taking advantage
of the deal they saw here.

Well, I figured, no problem, I'll just wait I'm in no hurry.

Today the sent this email:

We are sorry to report that we will not be able to obtain the following
item from your order:

"Antec OEM Atx Case Mid Tower With 300W Ps(Ks282+Pp303X)
Solution Series"

Though we had expected to be able to send this item to you, we've
since found that it is not available from any of our sources at this
time. We realize this is disappointing news to hear, and we apologize
for any inconvenience we have caused you.

We have cancelled this item from your order.

Your credit card will NOT BE CHARGED for this item because you only
pay for items when we ship them to you.

Please know that we expend significant effort to keep abreast of
prices and availabilities. However, occasionally our web site will
not reflect all changes in supplier availability. Once again, we are
sorry for any inconvenience such inaccuracies may have caused you.

I checked live warehouse inventories for the item
at Sparco.com who ships out of the same ingram micro
warehouses that amazon does and I found over 250 to
be available at various warehouses across the country.

So guys, whaddaya think, should we mass mail em or
just forget it.

I'm curious to see how many others experienced the same result

Sometimes if you complain enough to a csr you'll get a gift certificate out of it. Amazon is pretty good about that to satisfy the customer. But your mileage will vary depending on the csr.

Wow, came here at 7:21 to find Zuluwarrior's post, with my answer.
Now if all those who were greedy and had only ordered one...
I may be looking at a tracking # instead of typing this mess. :)

I ordered one last Sunday, before it became known that
the $15.00 coupon worked on orders of $50.00 or more.
I was paying the full price, although getting free
shipping. I did not get a case either. They did not
cancel it, but kept pushing out the delivery a day at a time.
I canceled the order yesterday. I sent email earlier in
the week, asking when the case would ship, and the response
was "we don't know".

This is really a pisser, as I am ready to put a system together,
and have everything I need, except the case.

Is is still possible to call Amazon? As best as I can tell,
they do email support only.

I got the same message. . . delivered at 4:01 this afternoon. Not a happy camper, since I have all the other parts to finish up my system except that case :(. I'm definitely talking to a CSR. I'll post the results of how that goes later.
