Well, you may not have gotten through to the OP (who I have no beef with btw) but this thread did convince me to order the MSI 7950 at newegg, I didn't go with the Amazon deal because the price was just about the same but newegg had 3 free games (Far Cry 3, Sleeping Dogs, and it just says "Hitman" if anyone can figure out which Hitman, please clue me in, maybe the new one?)

My current card is an Nvidia GTX 570. I hope I haven't done something completely asinine by getting this thing. I guess I can always return it or something if needs be.
I bought that 570 only within the last year, but I knew even when I bought it that I wasn't getting something quite as nice as I probably should...
I hadn't wanted to go ATI then or now, but the reviews on the page were solid, you guys' recommendations here swayed me somewhat, the deal on the games swayed me a little, and it sounded like a pretty badass card. I hope I was right to do it.
Thing is, the 570 was pretty much running everything as well as I wanted it to, so I don't know... maybe it was a silly purchase.
Or maybe I should've gotten a 670.
My first card was the Monster 3D from Diamond. For Quake 2 hehe, or was it Quake 1?
since then I've had ATI and Nvidia cards, and been burned by both. My last one prior to this was in my Asus G73, a 5870 HD mobility, it had some issues, so here's hoping I wasn't wrong to go back to ATI.
Think I can ebay the 570? It's an OC'd one from EVGA.
