Amazon A1 shippers freaking ROCK!

I ordered some DDR3 overnight from Amazon, and had it shipped to my workplace. When it didn't arrive by 4:45, I gave up and started to get ready to pack up.

Around 4:50 or so, I get a call from the person who is responsible for bringing me my package. I ask how far he is, and it turns out he is far enough to not make it worth him coming to my job anymore.

When I told him to forget about it, he was like, I am not too far -- if you are driving, can you meet up with me halfway? I was like hell yeah, why not.

About 15 minutes later I met him a few blocks away from my job, and was signing for my package.

Sure, it is kind of f-ed up I had to meet the guy, but 1) he called, and 2) he offered a way to deliver my package to me today.

I've heard bad things about these guys, but they seem to be making a real effort to move in on Fedex and UPS territory.

This is the 3rd package I've had come via A1, and they are not dissapointing at all. :biggrin:

Yeah A1 rocks. I remember the first time i bought my PS3 i had ordered it at around 11pm or so and it showed up the next day at around 1pm. They did the same thing when i bought a Xbox 360 from them.

So is it a local type delivery service? There are no Amazon warehouses around here so I don't imagine any of mine would be deliver with A-1. Heck, I had to do some research to figure out what it was!

This has gotten way off the topic. amdhunter, what was said in the other thread really pissed me off. However, I'm glad you have the freedom to make such a statement.

It's been said by many of my brothers and sisters in arms that we may not agree with what you say, but will defend to our death your freedom to say it.

That being said, instead of condemning the soldiers, sailors, grunts, airmen, etc. that keep your ass free, maybe you should thank them. Just a thought.
