Depending on your shoe taste this could be anywhere from useless to lukewarm to a sizzling hot deal.
Surfing around Amazon's shoe department I found a promotional offer that says "Subscribe to Shoes Emails at Amazon and get a 20% discount on your next shoe purchase." Do that and you get a code for 20% off. The limit is $200 off $1,000 worth of shoes.
Some shoes can be found cheaper on other sites, but Amazon has the best (or ties for the best) price on a lot of very good shoes, and after these discounts the prices are quite a bit better. I suspect the same is true with sunglasses and handbags.
If anyone knows how to make this deal better, or if anyone knows of similar email discounts available for other types of products, please advise. I hope this is beneficial to some people out there.
