Which would be no big deal, were it not for the fact that one man built every piece, and everything works, including the flat-12 4-stroke fuel injected engine, gearbox, transmission, electrics, and even the oil pressure, water pressure, and tach gauges are operative and accurate!

The car comes complete with a beautiful flat-12 Ferrari exhaust note. It took the builder 15 years and 20,000 hours of work.

Here is a 1.13MB RealPlayer movie file about the car - please, no gratuitous anti-RP commentary, as I did not choose the format.

You can read about it here and here, and there are several pics here

Forgive me if this is a repost - I searched and did not find it.

Man, flat-12s were used in WAY old Ferraris. Is that how long it took him to build it? LOL

It's kinda cool, but seems like a waste of time, really. Now that it's done, what can he do with it? Stare at it? He could have built several kick-ass cars he could actually drive in the same time span, probably for the same price.

You're definitely not wrong, but I am impressed with his audacity and singlemindedness. Few of us would be able to maintain focus on one project for 15 years, whatever it happened to be.

Kinda my thoughts as well, 20,000 hours even at minimum wage would have bought a hell of a sports car.

With his talent, it would have bought a hell of a lot more.

I think he should have made a life sized ferrari. It might have actually come out cheaper and he'd be able to drive it! I don't see how that car's 1/3 size. It only looks about 2-2 1/2 feet long, so the real car's only 6- 7 1/2 feet long? My scaling is off i guess

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I called it a 1/3 model because that was what the pages said, but it seems smaller.
