Amazing what our politicians think they can and do get away with.

Gwad help us all. WARNING aggravating video. Was going to post this in the "pic" thread but this deserves it own. And this probably happens all over america.

Watch all of this. Careful not to punch a wall or bang your head.

They even have police to break the law for them.

I think legislators should speaking with lobbyists, from business as well as from organizations such as teachers' and labor unions. That should never be at a luxury resort, and it should never include bills written by non-legislators. Most of the legislators probably never even read them before sponsoring or voting for them. The whole business of giving lawmakers scholarships to dispense should be as illegal as Obama's practice of requiring donations to big Democrat donors in lieu of fines. These are just loopholes to legally get power in return for selling access, and should be closed.

Sad how a Vegas trip is the price that it takes to curtail the freedom of hundreds if not thousands of people. Hundreds of their constituents lose their ability to sue for damages, and lawmaker gets a free Vegas trip. You'd think the legislators would set the price tag higher at least. Smart move on the lobbyists part though, for the paltry sum of $10K they save hundreds of thousands in lawyer fees and settlements.

Read the part about the scholarships. Politicians are getting very valuable scholarships they can then hand out to constituents, friends, or people from whom they need favors. Best of all, the lobbyists don't have to put up that money, they just have to convince other people to donate money for scholarships - without divulging that those scholarships will be used to buy corporate favors from lawmakers.

And nothing is going to be done about this. It will go on and on, completely invisible from and immune from the voting public's concerns. How easy it is for our politicians to work in secret and avoid the burden of having to be accountable to the folks who voted them into office.

Tip of a huge influence peddling iceberg folks.

Democracy and national sovereignty, foreign investor protection
Investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) is an instrument that allows an investor to bring a case directly against the country hosting its investment, without the intervention of the government of the investor's country of origin.[78] From the late 1980s, certain trade treaties have included provisions for ISDS that allow foreign investors who claim to have been disadvantaged by actions of a signatory state, to sue that state for damages in a tribunal of arbitration. More recently such claims have increased in number and value,[79] and some states have become increasingly resistant to such clauses.[80]

I remember when this vid first came up. I live in Georgia and it's disgusting how corrupt the leaders of this state are.

All involved should be in Prison. All the way down to the Cops providing security. It's the only way this sort of shit will be stopped.

Yea seriously off duty cops were lame there. Was funny when the cops said you will to leave this building and he said he was a paying guest there. How can they legally kick this guy out of the Hotel? He wasn't doing anything illegal just asking questions. I would like to have seen what came of that episode after the cops said he had to pack up his things. I would of said no I won't. And called the stations lawyer.
