This is crazy, it's like something from a scifi film. As cool as it is, it is sad to see tech being used against us like that.

At some point the only way to get privacy will be to live in a thermal shielded dome with zero tech and sing kumbaya.

There have been rumors for years about surveillance satellites that could resolve details a few feet across from orbit, so this may not be startling capability. The advances might more in the control systems and software that enable the operation of the drone. Pretty cool, though, how they arrayed a crapload of cheap phone sensors and stitched the images together.

A million terabytes of footage a day! There was no hard drive shortage - it was the drones!!

"The US Air Force right now has the ability to archive every single video that comes off of every single UAV."

The advance here is that it can take an image with such a large field of view due to it's large array of cameras. For satellites, resolving limits are due to the air I believe and the optical system on the satellite rather than the image sensor. Space is a naturally good place to operate an image sensor because it's so cold there.

Is that a Media Player Classic HC? Approved for drone use? :)

I was just thinking the same. I doubt that the videos are live feed but rather videos shown in media player classic. Interesting, none the less. :)
