I've purchased a lot of stuff at garage sales, auctions, etc. , then ebayed them. (usually buy big lots of things including things I wanted, and sell things I didn't want.)
But, after this week's deal on a 160 GB hard drive for $35, I was curious as to what they were selling for on ebay... around $100 :Q
And, of course, the descriptions say "missing UPC" That's fast profit!
Usually, I'd feel bad if someone on AT missed out on a hot deal because a store sold out (and sold out to people only intending to resell on ebay). But, since the people in my little city are willing to pay $129 for 4x dvd burners at Wal-mart (while other Walmarts are clearancing them for $50) and my Staples rarely sells out of what would be hot deals, I'm assuming I'm the only AT person for miles. Thus, I'm going to start taking advantage of these deals for things I don't want.
