i find quite a few things desrespectful about it actually, but number 1 is that if everyone started putting all their fs/ft items in their sigs it would be annoying as hell.

Well..soccer isn't exactly a sport widely liked in the US. It doesn't come with the fattyness, we just like football, baseball, basketball, and for the Southerners, Nascar.

I know we like to call refs blind retards, but go to 1:06 in the video and it is quite clear that the moment the pass was made, he was in front of the defense. At that level, the near side line judge would have a front row seat to that and would not put his flag up unless he was just in awe of the goal.
