The top comment is pretty nice:

"He's such a big CPU fan that they'll never overheat."

Impressive! Interesting that he stopped collecting in 2003, at least that's when the latest CPU was from.

They're all so slow...nice collection of silicon though!

Aye I know that they aren't fast but man, there are many CPU's there.
A lot of those, were never available to the public or at least not through the usual channels. The collection must have taken a very long time to put together.

8085? I didn't know there was an 8085 . . . hmm, basically an updated 8080. Interesting.

Oh he's got IDT Winchips too, how cute.

Wow those are awesome! Took him years to get them

Wonder how much they sell for nowadays.

I am very curious to find that out as well. Pity it would be close to impossible.
One man's junk is another man's treasure so to speak.
I would bet to the right collector an absolute fortune. I hope it goes up into some Museum for future generations to look back on, even if its just on a loan basis.

Would be worth something if kept in good condition for another hundred years or so. Right now though I think it would only be worth money if he parted his collection out to folks who are looking for specific CPUs to flesh-out their own CPU collections.
