GREENSBORO, NC -- Guilford College hadn't won a game at Randolph-Macon in more than ten years.
On Tuesday night, it looked like the Quakers were headed for the same fate yet again.
The two teams were tied, but with just 0.6 seconds left on the clock in overtime, Randolph-Macon's Adam Krovic hit a foul shot to take a one point lead.
But Krovic missed the second shot and the ball ended up in the hands of Guilford's Jordan Snipes.
In a move born of sheer desperation, Snipes hurled the ball across the court as the final buzzer sounded.
The ball traveled some 87 feet, the full length of the court and connected with the basket.
The final score was Guilford 91, Randolph-Macon 89.
