I've built two thus far, with ASRock AB350M Pro4 mobos. One in an ATX Azza case, with a 120mm AIO CLC, and one in a Rosewill FBM-05, with the stock air cooler. (Was a tight fit, the mobo uses all three rows of screws deep.)

I have a DIYPC ATX case coming, with a glass side, that is sort of a poor-max Phan tek P400. It was half the price, however. (Should probably have paid for better / faster shipping, as it shipped out ground from west coast to east coast. With a glass side, that concerns me.)

I'm not opposed to ATX, therefore, for this rig. But would like to keep it fairly inexpensive.

Edit: I'm most likely going to run it at stock, but since that case allows for 240mm AIO CLCs, I would like the option to OC in the future. Also, must have all four DIMM slots. Don't want to be limited in using these rigs five years down the road just because I've maxed their RAM capacity in two slots.

Either that one, or the "Gaming K4" variant, perhaps.

Oh yeah, I was going to mention that one also.

Or maybe just go with another ASRock AB350M Pro4? It has the best review rating for B350 boards on Newegg.

That really does seem like the best sub-$150 board. Plus, the mATX size gives some case flexibility.

I've been hearing (reading) good things about the MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon. $50 more than the Asrock though. It has ALC1220 for sound and Intel i211AT for Lan if that matters. My biggest complaint with the B350 is most boards were ALC892 or ALC887. Not too happy about the ones (X370 or B350) that put the m.2 slot under the graphics card.
