The Asrock is the only one I can vouch for because its the only AM4 motherboard I have used. But on this board my R5 1600 is 100% stable at 3.8 Ghz and 1.35 volts. I decided to stick to whatever I could get at that voltage because I've read a couple of places saying that 1.35 is the max that AMD recommends for long term longevity. Its always been my practice to not get outrageous with the voltage. Since that was my goal and the Asrock board has no trouble doing it, that's all I needed.
....
What sort of temps are you seeing on the vrm's? I'm mulling btwn this board and the Gigabyte.

The asrock VRMs looks to be one of the best, together with MSI on the B350's.
But I would lean to Asrock as they generally have better options on the bios.

The video you linked said the Asrock is not really a 9phase design and the voltage stability will be worse (the tradeoff is that it can deliver more power) compared to 6phase designs of other B350 mb's.

Is that the one from Buildzoid where the 2 MSI boards were the best? Asus has a B350 Strix board coming soon that looks to be good (waiting to see if the VRM is the same as the Prime x370 Pro). The MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon is $135 - The Asrock X370 Killer SLI/ac is the same price right now (an extra $10 off at Newegg) and the x370 Pro is $150.

It's making it really hard to choose. I want a good B350 for a cheapish 6 core build, but if another $20 or so would get me an x370? Last time I went looking I grabbed a Crosshair 6 Hero - you know, if I'm grabbing an x370, I might as well grab a good one :) . Almost grabbed a Taichi, now that they appear to be in stock, but I don't know if I want to go to the $200 range again. I'd like to try and save some cash for Threadripper :)

Yes thats the one and agrred that the prices for those 2 MSI boards don't make sense. Can the current Asus B350 boards support AMD's cool n quiet after overclocking because it seems that they will be stuck at max clock/voltages once overclocked which sounds really lame.

When the Tomahawk is changed to be used for overclocking it turns off Cool n Quiet automatically. I would imagine they do the same.
