Hi, newcomer here asking for advice.
I bought an MSI 790GX-G65, which is an AM3 motherboard, and a Phenom II X4 945 (95 watt revision), which is also AM3.

So why CPU-Z disagrees?

I'm also using one stick of DDR3 ram (I'm out of money, buying another one next month).

Being that the MSI 790GX chipset is rather recent CPUz has most likely not been updated. I imagine your stick of RAM is recognized as DDR3. Good enuff ....

Typically updates are made every other month or so ---- and I would imagine a donation would always be appreciated.

Have you tried any tweaking yet? We'd be interested in knowing your clocks at stock ---- maybe a 230MHz base clock :D: ??

Ram is recognized as DDR3. Everything is at stock for now, OCing scares me a bit, but my mobo has a quick OC button, I may try it.
The latest version of CPUZ is from July, maybe they don't have my cpu info yet.
