Hello,
I have an AMD athlon X2 6000 and I want to get a new fan. I want to overclock it a bit to get some more power out of it but my current fan is just a cheapo one I found at local computer store and doesn't cool it very well. I was looking too spend around 50 bucks or less. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
 
Search ebay for "AMD AVC heatsink". There's a guy on there, StuartConnections, that sells the 4-heatpipe heatsinks. Those are quite good stock heatsinks, IMHO as good as aftermarket ones, at least up to but not quite as good as the huge tower heatpipe heatsinks.

Edit: Last time I ordered, they were $20 ea for the heatsinks, and $8 shipping.
 
on a side note.. not to hijack the thread, but... for Zalman, or any, LED CPU fans, is it possible to switch off the LED?

I like this one and this one but I think they LEDs will mismatch the new case.
