am2 and c2d MoBo woes

Seems like there are tons of people that have switched over to am2 for the ddr2 memory only to find that only half of the ddr2 memory available works with their board. Same thing with c2d. People get their sweet new chip and p965 or 975x board and end up returning their RAM because of voltage issues or something. It doesn't stop at RAM though, s939 had a lot of great overclocking MoBos, but now, it seams like it's even more of a crapshoot with am2. How many bios updates will it take? C2d looks a lot better on the ocing side, with a lot of the top boards hitting ~400 mhz or over. I'd like to know how long it would take for both sides to get their act together as far as MoBos are concerned and whether there is an immediate remedy to the RAM problems that plague the newest boards. RAM mfg's should produce lower voltage RAM!

how long will it take for either RAM mfgs to produce lower voltage RAM or for MoBo mfgs to fix the votage restrictions? This is the main question I'd like answered.

No one can tell you for sure.all mobo makers are working on bios's that will make more ram more compatable on their boards.these are big changes for amd and intel so its nature of the beast.generally 6 months or so before new boards settle down and prices stablize.asus is really good about releasing bios fixes and abit also.cant go wrong with asus......
