am2 5600+ bottleneck gts450 or gts450 sli?

Hi All,

I have an older am2 motherboard. I upgraded the cpu to 5600+. I am thinking of buying a gts 450 and in a year or so buying another gts 450 to SLI. Is the gts 450 going to be bottlenecked by the 5600+ and the second question would the sli gts 450 be bottlenecked by the cpu?

yes a gts450 is would be held back by a 5600 X2 but not too bad except for those very cpu intensive game. now your res would play a role in determining just how much of an overall bottleneck. you would be laughably bottlenecked trying to run gts450 in sli though. also the 5600 X2 probably wont even be sufficient for many games anyway in another year.

Cool thanks. I figured the sli will be bottlenecked badly. I guess I will save money and stick with one...
