One of my friends constantly makes fun of every branch of the military at every oppertunity... nearly every day, I hear him say that the Navy is nothing but a bunch of butt fvckers, the Marines do nothing but go to the beaches and ass-rape eachother, etc etc. This really pisses me off, and lately he's been getting worse, almost to the point where I want to knock his stupid ass to the ground. Am I wrong to let this bother me? I've tried to talk to him about it, but then all I get is more "Military is gay" comments.

no, i get bothered by really ignorant comments as well. i haven't been able to come up with any solutions, other than murder.

If he's really serious about his views, why don't he tell that to somebody in the military, IN HIS FACE!

This idea is the best. Introduce him to a couple of young military guys on leave, preferably Marines. Bring up the subject of the military and let him mouth off. Excuse yourself to the restroom. When you come back you can help the paramedics put him on a gurney.

Tell him that his fascination with the subject of anal recreation is starting to make you nervous. Explain that his constant repetition of the subject shows that he is showing the early signs of becoming a pirate himself.
If that doesn't work, find a Marine and let the Marine tear off his head and sh!t down his neck.

Or Navy or Army... You could always send him to your local recruiting office and let him talk that smack in there. Then help him get the boot out of his arse.
well i think to be successful in the military you have to either be an asswipe or a moron. but i think saying they're all gay is pretty moronic too. i'd get a friend with a more pleasant obsession.
Ditto. He's probably pissed at the "no gays in the military" thing and finds his 'insults' as the only means of retaliation.
You too need to watch your comments. My brother is in the naval academy, and for family weekend I had the opportunity to listen to talks from commanders and high ranking officials. Some of these men are the bravest and most committed individuals our country has to offer. Rather than calling them asswipes and morons you should thank them for committing their lives and careers so that you can enjoy the freedom you just excercised by calling them asswipes and morons.
What a shame.
