Am I wrong for finding this very funny?

<< Susie Stephens, 36, died as she ran across the street during a conference on how to cut road deaths in America.

Susie was killed instantly after leaving her hotel in St Louis, Missouri, to get some photocopies.

The driver of the tour bus said he didn't see her in time and was not charged.

But friends believe the law should be changed.

Barbara Culp, of the Bicycle Alliance, said: "We want to criminalise acts like the one that killed Susie.

Does that mean they are going to make it illegal to be stupid? Man the jails are going to be BIG TIME full!

what's up with this part:

So a pedestrian runs out in the road without watching traffic and they want to blame a driver who possibly couldn't have done anything?

Uh, kind of.
She was British, traffic goes in the opposite direction over there. She looked "right" when she should've looked "left"
Sad for her family.....

Um, she was from Washinton State. She had been the head of the Bicycle Alliance there.

Well, in Washington, they look up for rain or around for Starbucks. She must not have noticed the traffic. 😛

I agree completely. They should lock up the corpses of those idiots that kill themselves by running in front of a moving bus. There should be a law to punish dead idiots.

Hehe. Very true. How did she become the #1 safty expert in the world? Does her getting hit by a bus change that?
I declare myself to be the #1 fly squisher in the world! I'll be holding a conference sometime soon, so if you want to come space is limited. BYOC, BYOF, BYO Everying. At the end of the meeting, we'll have a giant fly come down and squish us 🙂 Maybe we will get in the news or something.

<< "She was one of those people who was a bright light in any group." >>

If she was the bright light of the group, then I REALLY want to know how the rest of the group has managed to live this long!

🙂

I just want to criminalize the idiots who want to criminalize everything. 😉

My question is this:

Was she in a marked crosswalk and crossing with the signal? For some reason, I doubt it.

The funny thing here is that the #1 safety expert was unsafe, forgot to look both ways when jaywalking, and got herself killed.

Just watch it be illegal now to hit people with your car. I mean come on! If you don't want to get hit by a vehicle, don't use the streets except for driving. It sounds to me (form the article) that she was jaywalking. I don't want to point fingers, but it ain't the bus drivers fault if that is the case.

I just wonder if someone has this on film...it'll show up on the net sooner than later!!!

Indeed, cruel irony, which most people find amusing. Why it is so, I don't know, but I found it that way.

Edit- found this in a "humor" thread. Good example of what I mean

Ain't this a scream?
