Ok, here is the deal.

I no longer find women who grace the covers of magazines or make appearences on TV that attractive. Maybe for a second, but it passes quickly. Like even my friends Playboy didn't hold interest. All of a sudden, the women who populate my world and who I can actually talk too are a million times more attractive than Brittany Spears, Estella Warren, and the like. All the models, though manicured so heavily, don't even come close anymore to being as attractive. I could say to any number of women that I know "I find you way hotter than Estella Warren (my previous favorite babe)" and I would be telling the total truth.

Am I just weird? I didn't use to be that way. I would say "look at this babe" to my friends. But now it doesn't hold anymore interest.

BTW... I am 19 and a freshman in college.

you are kinda weird i guess

i still find them attractive as they have ever been but there are plenty of girls around here that i would rather date/be around than any TV / music star

two girls especially :)

BTW i am also 19 , sophmore in college (junior by credit , too bad that line does not work with the ladies :( )

First year college student here (only I'm 17 instead of 19 :p), and yes you are weird. :p

I know what you mean though, and I also find "real" people far more attractive than manufactured "stars". I'd much rather be with my gf than with some bimbo covered in makeup, who spent three hours getting to look the way they did, which still isn't very good. :p NATURAL good looks all the way. :D

Not strange, mature. You have learned to look at women and base them by their qualities as a whole.

Duh...you're rationalizing down to the women you actually have a chance with. It's like saying "Wow, that Dodge Viper on TV is kinda cool but I really like my Honda Civic because it gets good mileage..."

Mebbe it's because you're at a college with tons and tons of hotties that you see everyday and nearly all the time? :)

Actually, although I still find some celebrity women attractive and sometimes staggeringly beautiful, I think there's an element of "fakeness" there. Ya know that in the back of your mind that you'll never meet them and that's just a picture or a video or whatever. That sense of realness with women you know and the ability to actual interact with them makes them like... REAL! So your interest in pr0n is less or nonexistent even, so what... doesn't mean you suddenly don't like women or anything.

Also, since i'm azn, and there aren't any stunningly attractive azn females in mainstream US pop culture... Zhang Zi Yi is cute... but I know girls that are cuter than her. Lucy Liu... eww... and Jaymee Ong is not mainstream.

You're maturing. Some people get older but never mature.

Who's to say those super-hot women don't have rockin' personalities?

I think *you're* the one that's being superficial by judging them without even knowing them. (Superficial people make baby Jesus cry :(

I hope not, because I've felt like this most of my life.. well once I started getting interested in girls that is... Dunno, those models and such look utterly fake, act utterly fake, and just simply not attractive. I like cute looking, natural homegirls.

People always drool over peopel in tv shows liek that girl ins Smallville... is it just me is the acting horrible and the lines even worse? Simply fake.

I thought about this, but I really don't think so. Like when I see a 'hot' woman in a magazine, I think "sure, they look nice, but also seen it a thousand times on a thousand different magazines. So... boring. No need to look her over a bunch." And in fact, I don't desire anymore to stare.

And besides, I still want that Dodge Viper :D

I feel the same way. It's just figuring out that beauty is on the inside I guess. I find women much more attractive that I can talk to and have an intelligent conversation with rather than some eye candy.

I think it's simpler than you make it: Those women simply aren't beauty.

Please don't get me started with those women . . . starting from Brittany. Make up and enormous artificial adjustments makes them the best of what you see of them.

Only few is left of true beauty in the entertainment industry. It's much easier to find real beauty in day-to-day life.

Sorry, but that's my perspective. I call it beauty when it is. ;) :)

The selling and objectification of the painted women on these magazines is actually somewhat sickening.

Don't get me wrong, I think some celebs are really cute, but I'm not gonna oogle them in Vogue or whatever.

I also prefer the natural look (to a point, bras are a necessity for most women!), especially at the college age, makeup is really unnecessary for most girls.
