A couple weeks ago, this chick I knew from HS who lives all the way in Hawaii disappeared off of my facebook. The last thing she sent me was a message telling me to email her back. Now I can't because I didn't write down her email before she disappeared. Today another girl that I know and am on good terms with vanished. All posts on mutual friend's walls, etc. Both like they never existed.

Am I being filtered or unfriended? Or is facebook broken?

Facebook is cool. I connected with an old friend I lost touch with. Good times.

no real answers yet? I just checked my inbox where she replied to me and the message is there but her image isn't and her name doesn't link to anything.

Maybe they just deleted their accounts (to escape from your stalking).

Maybe, but I can't stalk someone half a world away. And she did tell me to email her.

the second chick just reappeared, for the second time. I wonder if she'll disappear again?

I think this book is broken.

Facebook has been full of fail recently for me. Their chat is totally FUBAR'd. Wouldn't surprise me if they miraculously just disappeared.

mutual lady friends told them about your small pecker. So they ran. :(

Wow, how incredibly unhelpful and childish.

I am glad to see this post, especially because it is so recent.

I am experiencing something similar. I met a family friend from another country like 8 years ago. We only met for a few hours but I got this feeling she liked me and I would think about her all the time. Like so crazy hot it's awkward to look at her because you feel like you're staring (a lot at stake!) Anyway she added me a few months ago, I think in anticipation of my visit. I met her again yesterday and we really seemed to have a connection and danced all day (wedding). We traded numbers and talked about going out before I leave.

Now I can't find her. On my list or a mutual friends or through search. What makes it so tough is we speak different languages, so our communication isn't great. I just checked her page a few days ago to confirm the spelling of her name.

I can't imagine she deactivated so recently, but such a coincidental database error would be quite odd as well.

But tonight she texted our friend to see if we were going out to the bars (which we weren't) so my guess is it's just a cruel twist of fate and it is an error.

Could simply be because they got bored with it and deactivated FB. I've done it before and a few people (both guys and girls) have also done it.

Sites owned by Yahoo, AOL, and Google have joined Facebook and MySpace in expelling New York sex offenders from their rolls.
New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday that Google's Orkut.com, AOL's Bebo.com, and Yahoo's Flickr.com are among 13 additional social-networking sites to use sex offender data available through New York's Electronic Securing and Targeting of Online Predators Act (E-Stop) to find and disable accounts associated with registered sex offenders.
Other companies that have agreed to cooperate include BlackPlanet.com, Classmates.com, Flixster.com, Fotolog.com, hi5.com, MyLife.com, Stickam.com, and Tagged.com.

Yeah its most likely they deactivated it. I usually wonder about it when my friend count decreases.

:/ It gets weird sometimes. It'll start showing me stories from people I haven't even been accepted to yet.
