Well, I just started playing COD2 and this game is awesome, I really enjoy it. The graphics is amazing, the sound is fairly realistic, and game play & plot are great as well.
Thing is I'm 30 years old, and other than on some weekends or some late week nights, I don't have much time to play (you know work, family, life...).
I was just wondering, am I too old for this? I have a clear answer to myself, which I might reveal as discussion (if there's going to be one) goes on. Anyway, what do you guys think, is there such a thing such as too old for computer games?
(note: I usually don't game over other obligations I have)

Impossible! I'm 42 and spent the last year on DoomIII, HAlf-Life2, and Halo 2. After the kids went to bed and my wife was watching some lame Lifetime movie.

I play less games than I used to (I'm 35). Mainly because of time constraints, not because I don't like them.

No...so long as YOU are having fun, and it's not at the expense of other activities you want to do more, why not? It's a hobby.

dude yes. we are too old. and this coming from a 25 year old. you're 30, i dont know if you're married or have kids but

i used to work like 14 hour days in my old job but i recently switched job and i have a lot of time at home when i dont travel, thinking i have a lot of time to myself now that i work at home, my gf now expects more, she wants me to do laundry, clean the house, bathroom and cook for her. not that i mind that much, but i never get the time to play games. look at my rig! its a Dell made for gaming. why dell? because i have no time to build a damn PC. the last AMD athlon 2800+ and 9800 radeon i bought took me 3 months to put together because i never have enough time, by the time i did it, it's an ancient rig!

i did manage to beat COD2 on normal setting, am i going to play it again? i think so but i don't think from start to finish.

some games i really like but never had the time to finish:
Zelda N64 (yes)
FF9
FFx2
Katamari Damacy
We Love Katamari
Dragon Quest 8
Half Life 2
Doom 3
Metal Gear Solid 3
the whole Burnout series
and a lot lot more

sad. eh?

No, you're probably just too busy to be the #1 ranked uber-leet t0p killz0r on the server.

I play UT2004 once in a while and enjoy it even though my lack of practice time makes me easy prey for the veterans.

There are also plenty of single-player games.

well, that's exactly what I was thinking.
computer games is just like any other hobby (I don't see how watching a football game for example is much more mature...).
Besides, there are lots of other aspects (than game play itself) of modern games which I enjoy.

i was wondering the same thing. i am in my late 20's and although i really enjoy the games the amount of time i have to play them is getting smaller and smaller. i can't stay up until 3am every night any more.

Too old? pfft!

In 2003, I was playing UT2003 with my father and my boss, both in their 50's.

I'm currently playing FEAR and COD2. I'm 38.
I also play CS:S from time to time and I like DOD:S.
No, you're never too old to play games.
The nice part about being old and playing games...
I can swing a rig like Rigalingus. :)

One benefit of getting older is I'm so far behind in playing through my games pile that I can easily wait for games to drop from $50 to $20.

OH man! another one who plays UT2004...
even though this game is old and lame (you've got to admit...), still its probably one of the best games to play online with your buddies!

30, no, not at all too old.
A buddy at work is over 40 and he played COD2 and is now playing WoW.
The Guild Master of my guild on the WoW server Suramar is in his late 30s, as are quite a few of my guildies. At 25, I'm one of the younger guys there.

Just find a mature group of people to play with and you'll have more fun then ever before.
