Am I the only person in the US who has never seen an episode of "survivor"?

Jeez, its everywhere. I work every night from 4:30pm-1:30am, so I never get to see prime time television (including the super bowl )

dont you hate it when people talk about stuff that you have no idea about, like the next day everyone's talking about "survivor" last night and I just have to twiddle my thumbs..

Your not alone. I haven't seen one episode of survivor; and everyone keeps talking about how good the show is. I think I'll watch the new one to see how it is.

never have, never will. It is a takeoff of the real world, and I never liked that much either, and takeoffs are usually worse than the original.

saw it once... only it seemed like an episode of road rules or Real world only those who where part of the cast got voted off each episode... common folks that created "Survivor", be original.

There's the magical invention called a VCR that RECORDS tapes, not just plays the ones from Blockbuster. Yes I know it's hard to believe, but if you actually fix that blinking *12:00AM*, you can program the VCR to start recording the program... that way you can watch it @ 5am when you want to... and fastforward past the Pontiac Aztek commercials...

here in denmark there's like 3 'survivor-ish' shows going on now. there's a Big Brother-show, a show where 14 people are working / living in a bar (for real, in the middle of the capital) and have to vote eachother out etc., and 'Robinson', which is a direct copy of Survivor, with people on a deserted island.

Robinson is decent, but the other shows have camera's everywhere so you see people showing naked, f'cking eachother, etc...it gets a little lame

I saw commercials for Big Brother. If Survivor isn't like Real World, this sure is. It copies it practically to a T, except for the voting out part.

This "Reality TV" fad is really getting old. It's like the whole world is discovering a concept MTV had ten years ago. Plus, it's all so sensational and dramatic and contrived--much more so than "The Real World".

I agree with SuperSix--I feel like a Zombie after watching those shows. Primetime TV lately seems to be a vertiable smorgasboard of unfunny sitcoms and overly dramatic babymamadrama. I guess that's fine if you like to "vegitate" but I would much rather watch something interesting. Even neffing on these forums does more for your mind than wasting hours watching mindless TV like Tempation Island and Survivor.

However, I'll admit they can be addicting. But so can so many other things that aren't good for you. I think it's best to not even start.

So no, I have not seen a single episode of Survivor, and I probably never will.

But the Survivor gone porno, Temptation Island is pretty interesting (at least in the same premise that Baywatch is interesting).
