who gets goosebumps whenever they play the national anthem during pregame shows of all star games, super bowls etc. I don't consider myself a patriotic person, but whenever they play the star spangles banner, it get goosebumps all over.

I used to get goosebumps for it. Then my coach (volleyball) decided to play it before every game, and he cried while it was played. It started to creep us out.

After 9/11 yes, i definitly got goosebumps. Sadly that has worn off

Yeah I get goosebumps too, i also got it for god bless america duringteh baseball games after 9/11.

I do sometimes.... depends on the event I'm at.

Regardless, it angers me when people aren't even paying attention while it is being played.... I work in a concession stand (high school), and we always come to a complete stop, no matter what we're doing (well, unless it's an emergency situation, etc) when the national anthem is played... a lot of people get angry with us for it... we told them that we didn't have to sell them anything, either.

depends. sometimes when a person sings really well, and i'm so impressed, i get goosebumps, but it hasn't happened lately.

then again, i haven't been to any of those games lately either....

Depends on the quality of the performance. I wasn't impressed with that choir that performed it today at the NBA All-Star game. The sopranos sounded like they were really straining. I think my favorite performances are Whitney Houston and the Dixie Chicks, both super bowl performances.

does it really matter who sings it?? I think it matters more what the lyrics stand for then how it is delivered. but thats just me.
