Am I the only one who thouht Borat was horrible

I was so excited to see this movie as everyone said it was extremely funny. I thought it was boring and the only reason it was mildly entertaining was because they pushed the envelope with many of the jokes.

I give it a 2/10

I didn't LOVE the movie, but I still really enjoyed it...and from the response in the theater, yes you are the only one who thought that Borat was horrible.

I liked it, but it didn't even come close to the expectations I had based on reviews. Many of the clips from the Ali G Show were better, IMO.

I thought the movie was very funny, not drop dead funny but funny..

But then a strange thing happened after I saw the movie. I started randomly laughing throughout the day yesterday, my wife thought I was going nuts.. And I'm still laughing today, thinking about some of the scenes, particularly the wrestling scene and the way he kept saying vagine.... LOL I'm still laughing!!!

i just posted that opinion in the other Borat thread. I agree with your 2/10. It had it's moments but it was not what folks were making it out to be. "The funniest movie ever?", not even close. overhyped mediocrity....

The movie would've been funny if it weren't for two things:

*Over-using the same lame comedy over....and over.....and over for all 90-something minutes. Haha, funny, yes, you have a funny accent and pretend like you're a stupid foreigner...?
*The stupid shock-value male nudity - frankly I didn't come into this movie wanting to look at some fat man's balls, choad, and ass. I didn't know I was walking into Jackass meets fat naked guy, I thought it was going to be a funny comedy comprised mainly of "skits" as it was. Instead I got treated to several minutes of hairy man-genitalia which I didn't pay $6 to see. It was fvcking stupid and the only people in the theater who were laughing at that part were the two teenage doofus' above me - "Huh-huh-huh" (Think Beavis & Butthead)

I give the movie 1/10 and it's a shame the rest of the comedy in that movie was ruined by the stupid bullsh!t they put in for shock value.
